Keeks or Densi Ship sails. The episode will be best remembered for Densi Dinner outing that creates a nagging opportunity for Kensi to ask Deeks to accept what they feel for each other in total maturity of mind and not in any spontaneous heat of the moment passion and yet how that happens for them is another spontaneous moment in their lives that is just as lovely as them. Kensi would never have thought Deeks can ask her out in those words, "I don't wanna be here with you right now. I wanna be at my place right now. With you". But that is what exactly how they are to each other. She needs to be in control of the direction the ship sails in and so Deeks calls her into his Wheelhouse to steer the ship along with him or if she wants take it over completely, then she could; as he wouldn't mind it at all; she is still in his ship. Who would have thought Hetty was meaning this earlier in the episode, when Gil Grant made her say..."something more in your natural wheelhouse" !!!
As part of the Trilogy of Densi or Keeks ship sailing, this Episode going into the next one is like Alanis Morisette’s “Ironic”. Its the same reference thrown in by Kensi’s response to Deek’s “ironic” comment in Big Brother Episode, two episodes before Joseph C Wilson's Fallout. In Big Brother, Kensi says is blame it on Alanis Morisette. :) We wait for this much time for the ship to sail, only to be hit by a storm the moment it sails. That is going to be in our next episode The Frozen Lake by Dave Kalstein. We can just hope that it is not set to become Titanic. :D
If any reader is randomly wondering what is the trilogy reference. It is me making the reference. Fallout episode is about Densi banter becoming an actual flirtation and interested involvement in each other before all the others (everyone seeing that), Recovery can be called as Dating Phase and Frozen Lake is where officially Deeks and Kensi call themselves as Boyfriend and Girlfriend.

| Writer | Gil Grant | Gil Grant is famous for his writing on interpersonal relationships. Upholding his style we have a very good episode of again character developments within the same procedural format, with all the relationship being shed some light. It was lovely to watch everyone get concerned over their partner or team-member’s interests. In this story, Gil Grant is actually playing a relay writing from Joseph C Wilson's Fallout. Its as if Joey Wilson passed on his baton to Gil Grant for Densi story. Deeks is exactly in the same mood as we last see him in Fallout. Relaxed and more and more immersed into Kensi. The same shoulder touching closeness while walking or standing and pushing through shouders continues with Deeks in this episode too. End of the episode, it becomes obvious that it is quiet noticeable to others. What comes out is that Deeks is more and more engaging himself with Kensi in physical manner and Kensi does not mind it at all. | Episode Summary | Investigation of a Navy Officer’s death leads to Domestic Extremists against Afghanistan and Pakistan trying to take control of a Military Drone to strike a target in Pakistan. | Story - A dead man found in a pool in Tranquility Villa, a rehab center opens the case for NCIS LA Ops team. The dead man is a Navy personnel. And preliminary investigation through Sam-Callen and Kensi-Deeks field visit yield information on someone tampering GPS logs of the outsider friend of the Navy man, so that he can get framed for the man’s cause of death, security footage cleverly kept clean away from cameras, except for a girl running away. So mission is to find this girl and what’s going on in the rehab. Kensi and Deeks go undercover as Nutritionist and Sex Addict. Kensi’s job is to get all inside trashed security footage and Deeks job is to get the name of the girl’s whereabouts and why is she being chased. Its successful mission enough and we get info on the miscreants involved in the Navy man’s murder. Its a domestic extremist group that is planning to drop missiles in Pakistan using US military drones. Now that part of it, the intelligence from the Navy man going for execution was too far-fetched. Question is...did the woman just get lucky that the Navy man get checked into the rehab and she planned all that activity impromptu. Is she that smart ? Unbelievable. There is that unnecessary piece of Muslim connection Faziz * with the Rehab Facility Owner that thankfully goes nowhere, except the fact that Homeland Agency is already keeping an eye on that man. Increasingly the cases involved with domestic treason all baffle me. Its not international but national subjects and their motives behind their actions, spilling everything onto international arena. Impact left us nowhere. The case is still unsolved. Omni, Unwritten Rule, Big Brother, Livelong Day - all perpetrators are from domestic territory and have mercenary intentions. Only Fallout had Russian involvement Cold-war style. And this one Recovery - with Drones being controlled and targets such as Pakistan....what was the message to all from that woman ? No motive seen unless she was seriously deranged fanatic for a lost cause and love for launching missiles. And yes, absolutely true that she worked single-handedly after the murder to have her gear in position to launch the missile and also during day-time do her job. Damn! she was SO FAST. Faster than Ellie Bishop - the newly introduced NSA Agent from yesterday's NCIS Episode. |
| NCIS Personnel Highlights | Its about Tattoo and who can and cannot be a Tat guy. Its also about Deeks and Kensi being together together. | Not much except that none of the team members think that Callen can be a Tattoo person. And Deeks and Kensi actually say the same thing to Callen in unison. Eric has an E=MC2 Tattoo. It was looking cool. |
| Ops Manager/s | Hetty Lange | Hetty takes care of her two favourites. Callen and Deeks. Read below. She is so vested in them. One thing was funny though. When Kensi tries to tell in roundabout manner that she wants to be the nutritionist, Hetty, as usual being soft and respectful towards the girls, grants Kensi’s wishes by accepting her viewpoint as humour made her see Deeks in the wrong manner. She says, “Forgive my sense of humour Miss Blye…” It just shows how Hetty sees the girls games to wrestle their men’s position and Hetty fully supporting them. Hetty always supports the girls but when it comes to her having fun, she always has it at the expense of the boys, especially through being a tease to Callen, Deeks and Eric. in this episode it is Callen and Deeks. She disallows Callen to have his fun and she takes huge pleasure in making Deeks a sex addict when all he wants to be is a drug addict. |
| Bull Pen Partnership -1 | Callen and Sam (Scallen-Bromance) | Callen - What should he go for ? Tattoos ? Cars ? or Body Piercing ?!!!! :D Ain’t it ironic that nothing clicks for him ?!! That was wonderful. Almost everyone can have Tattoos, but the same cannot be true for Callen as he is not a Tat guy. Even Hetty is against the idea of Callen getting a Tattoo. Usually she would want Callen to just be interested in something, but when it comes to Tattoo, no its not good enough for him. Sam, Deeks and Kensi are all again Callen having a Tattoo. Well...off late Callen has been showing himself as outgoing ...his next door neighbour in Big Brother episode, now Tattoos, if not that then Body Piercing. Callen and cars...that was always there...his thing; even if Sam wouldn’t want to accept it. The Homeland’s undercover Agent defended Callen there. :) Sam - He seemed to think he was successful in stopping Callen from getting a tattoo. No he wasn’t. Callen didn’t stop there. Now was that ironic ?!! that his staid partner is trying to get colorful and zingy ??? Hahaaaa :) Sam and Callen - Action - As usual great and Sam is once again our saviour. He is on a roll from last three episodes. He saves a girl hanging from the roof and also he aborts a missile launch that is seconds away from target. |
| Bull Pen Partnership -2 | Kensi and Deeks (Densi Romance) | Deeks and his two special women (Kensi and Hetty) Kensi -Hetty naturally wants Deeks to be the nutritionist as he is the healthy-food freak. But Nope. Miss Kensi spills what he has been doing at 8’o Clock in the morning. The whole Burritos with Pop tarts with juice and a chewable. Basically it just shows that Deeks has not been telling her his schedule, Kensi was actually with him since the morning. So they spend a lot of time together when not on the case. And I would like to believe that Deeks is so head over heels with Kensi that in her company, he has just become like her eating all the junk food. :))) And Kensi gets the nutritionist’s part from Hetty. Hetty - She wants Deeks to have his next natural act coming out of his “wheelhouse”. Now this was fun to watch. A wheelhouse ?!! Seriously?!!! That is what Deeks is wondering about and there we have Hetty clenching her hands and asserting to Deeks that he has indeed a wheelhouse. Hilarious !!!! Anyways, she convinces him to play the part of Sex addict instead of drug addict. So what happened there. Those two women actually decided everything for Deeks and he was just going by their decisions. That scene between the three was a treat. The way these two women control Deeks and the way Deeks is happy for himself about them deciding for him, I just don’t have any words there. But the same emotion actually reminds me again of Alanis Morisette’s Ironic. Coz these two women will again decide something for him that will take away his happiness….perhaps for the best interests of all. Regardless, Deeks has let these women into him quite close. Now let me actually talk about the ironic moments. And lastly the Keeks or Densi Ship; whichever way we and NCIS LA production Crew wants to call it, it has set sail. In that last minute when Deeks was breathing a sigh of relief, I was too. Kensi did not do anything to upset his applecart. Wasn’t that IRONIC ?!!! OMG!!! She actually got up to leave for his place to fulfil his wish and Deeks did not even have to ask. The thing about their communication - the way Kensi feels that Deeks does not say anything what he means, she is frustrated about him not saying, asking or talking. For her that verbal communication is so important. Kensi does not empathize with Deeks Non-Verbal communication. But then its also a hard reality for Deeks that he cannot have any control on the roll-out of events with Kensi. She needs to be in absolute control of things happening to her. Then how is it ever gonna be anything smooth for Deeks where his heart needs him to do things the way he wants them to happen. So he just shuts down and plays along with Kensi and just keeping himself happy enough around her in way not to lose her. So what he never asked her for a date. He just wanted to be with her. In the morning, Breakfast became long with junk food - burritos leading to Pop tarts, leading to reminders of health food about orange juice and chewables…..and he still wants to spend time with her in the evening …. So out comes another Junk food item - Tacos. :)))) Then maybe he realized may be they need a better dinner. And all the time, he doesn’t want to do anything with food, he just wants to be with Kensi. And as her tirade starts, he just comes out flat with his honesty. Yes, he can risk losing her, but he cannot let himself be called a person who cannot communicate and upset her by driving her nuts. All he wants is, he wants everything working for both of them. And Thank God! Kensi did not BOLT. I only had one word left on my lips, my mind for the rest of night. KENSI !!! I should just listen to Ironic song again. By the way Daniela Ruah loves Alanis Morisette. Eric Christian’s Colsen white T - the neckline wow!! that stitch -something totally new. Did you notice ? The design of the neck weave and cut is different. |
