“Deep Trouble, Pt. II” – Callen and Sam are trapped in an armed submarine that terrorists have aimed to hit an aircraft carrier in San Diego. Meanwhile, Hetty defies orders and forgoes her trip to Washington, as the team tries to locate and save Callen and Sam and prevent the terrorist attack, on the sixth season premiere of NCIS: LOS ANGELES,

If you ask me this episode was for Geeks. It looked a Wikipedia, an Olympiad, a warfare expert etc. I could just be dumb and listen to what they were saying and just believe that they were speaking the truth. If I forget all that, then pretty much nothing remains except these items:
- Scallen are on their own. So they rescue themselves out of the submarine before it is exploded by the Navy.
- Deeks, Kensi and Talia, as in NCIS and DEA teams work together to catch the drug lord Worm aka Richard Miller
- Granger, Nell and Eric in Ops Room work together to get a lead on who built the submarine and for whom.
- Together they all figure out that Jabreel traded Cocaine for Ammonia Nitrate to built a Submarine Bomb to explode the USS Van Buren Site, for the love of Jehad.
On Emotional level, the story made headlines through Tagline "Friends and Partners"
- Nell and Eric claim they are friends
- Sam claims Friends and Partners for the whole team and especially when it means his relationship with Callen.
- Deeks and Kensi are unclear what they are. Friends? Partners? They keep saying Partners to each other and others and yet nothing is just like being partners.

6x01 - Deep Trouble - Part 2
Deep Trouble indeed for Hetty. And also for Sam and Callen who are deep under the water travelling in a submarine with their lives in danger with three armed men ready to shoot them down. Continued from Season 5 ending.

In this episode Gemmill reverses the roles for everyone. Callen the pessimist becomes Sam the Optimist and keeps up the spirits of his partner and friend alive. Nell becomes Eric with panic stricken fast replies whereas Eric becomes Nell with quick thinking following of his boss even though it might have been risky. Granger is in better control of Ops and the Mission more than Hetty. And finally Deeks and Densi. Is there a role reversal or Kensi bared her possessive feelings for Deeks before Talia and did not relent until she marked her territory through a fist fight. Territorial much.
What is Gemmill trying to do? Is he showing how partners rub off traits on each other the longer they continue with each other? What is the punchline for Season 6? I still wonder.

Action Packed Episode. I wonder how Dennis Smith handled a wikipedia kind of Geeky and science stuffed episode in action packed drama.

Episode Summary
Callen and Sam are stuck in the Submarine bomb.
1.Scallen are on their own. So they rescue themselves out of the submarine before it is exploded by the Navy.
2.Deeks, Kensi and Talia, as in NCIS and DEA teams work together to catch the drug lord Worm aka Richard Miller
3.Granger, Nell and Eric in Ops Room work together to get a lead on who built the submarine and for whom.
4.Together they all figure out that Jabreel traded Cocaine for Ammonia Nitrate to built a Submarine Bomb to explode the USS Van Buren Site, for the love of Jehad.
5.Hetty returns back to Ops worried with Scallen news
Watch the Episode. Its better watching it.
NCIS Personnel Highlights and Bull Pen Fun
Role reversal between all partners
Callen becomes Sam. Granger becomes Hetty. Eric becomes Nell. Check the manner of execution, you will see what I am saying. Its only Densi where I am not so convinced on the theme of role reversal for them.
Ops Manager/s
OPs Manager Hetty Lange
Asst Director Owen Granger
Granger is very much in control of the Ops Mission. Hetty instead of going to Washington, returns back to Ops to interfere an already working mission.
Partnership 1-
G Callen & Sam Hanna
One of the most beautiful role reversal we get to see. Sam, the ever optimist; is worried and feels he is close to death and starts writing a letter. Whereas Callen the pessimist actually turns the optimist and guides Sam into foiling the plan of the three Jehadists. They sink the part where the explosive material is all stored.
Partnership -2
Marty Deeks - LAPD Liaison Officer
Kensi Blye -Special Agent
DEA Agent - Talia
Cat fight between Talia and Kensi for Deeks. Once territorial rights claimed over Deeks, Kensi is back to treating Talia in normal way. I can read into the scene if we move on through Season 6 to see where Kensi is headed. Otherwise, its just a dramatic point for Densi relationship.
Funny watching Deeks with Wilson luring him to drink under the gumption that he is gonna die. Must watch scene when Wilson calls LA Cop as Pigs. Haha!
Ops Room Partnership
Eric Beale- Tech Operator
Nell Jones - Intelligence Analyst
Eric impressed me with the way he dismissed Hetty. I loved it. And Nell was so chums with Hetty that she could not stop gushing out to Hetty what happened to Scallen..all in one breath.
Love Story
Densi Love Story
Kensi as usual acting highly possessive about Deeks, this time she is not acting coy, gets physical and warns Talia to keep off Deeks.
Guest Chracter
Talia Del Campo
Joe Sachs introduced her in 5x15 -Fish Out of the Water
Since when she really got interested in Deeks? !!! Whats Gemmill’s story here? Have to wait until September….Bad!!!!
My thoughts: Why DEA Talia is so eager to join Deeks in the boatshed! Whats the idea behind bringing her back? Is it to revive Densi Love Story that had been nipped in bud in 5x21-Three Hearts ? Gemmill believes in Densi and is also a Deeks fan. So I guess, Gemmill is giving a message to Dave Kalstein's Kensi that they are real girls out there to get Deeks if she keeps insisting him on opening Empty boxes that do mean much.
