What's good about the episode was that it like a holiday from all stress of seriously watching the show. This episode had nothing remarkable in terms of story elements or character growth. And yet we like it because it was just a filler, where, indeed we needed a break from all thinking after a long series of seriousness in 21 episodes. Nothing needed to be analysed and everything was casual like their casual clothes of working on a weekend. Watch the NCIS LA without any bother. The explosion (BOOM!!) is there. The Patriot Act is there. The need to save people is there. The race against time is there. The Homeland Security is there. And yet....nothing serious other than regular stuff.
We need not analyse anything about this episode and yet I am here to write about it. :)

Exposed to terrorism and atrocites? Exposing an event with false information ?

As usual….JLJ stories are about Patriot Act, its use and misuse. And the debate goes on. And as usual Joey Wilson’s stories are about BOOM! There is an explosion.
This team has previously written 5x05-Unwritten Rule together. They gave us cute NERIC moments. Eric was getting possessive about Nell in that previous episode. And in this one, Eric again feels something for Nell, imagining what if it were the doomsday and he had not yet told her what he wanted to say to her most. Good one. I like it. Thats the only interesting thing of the episode.
Kensi’s plant killing habits are from JLJ. She showed it to us in Season 4. I wonder if Deeks making fun of Kensi was JLJ or Joey Wilson’s idea but that thing about Kensi’s hoarding and boxes, reminds us of 5x21-Three Hearts; and it sounds exactly like us; making fun of boxes about Kensi and her writer Dave Kalstein. Writers to Writers and teasing each other. NERIC is IN and DENSI is OUT. Deeks knows Kensi thoroughly, and that much of DENSI is still given back to us through his chit-chat with Kensi. That was Joey Wilson all the way. I can feel that. The emotions within the team, Granger, Hetty, Callen, Sam, Deeks, Kensi, Nell and Eric, all part of Joey Wilson’s stuff. JLJ is totally unsympathetic to Kensi. And her penchants Patriot Act, Ordinary people committing breach on national security and in process hurting the Marines. Haha!!!!

Episode Summary
Random Explosion causing Civilian Casualties
South Sudan Conflict and USA as the saviour of world conflicts are the subjects. Watch it. Terrorist Attack in US City?!!! No. Not possible at all. US Homeland Security keeps a tab on immigrants. Then how do bombings happen. Domicile population variables. Thats how we look at things.
CBS Summary:“Exposure” – When a news reporter announces the group responsible for the deadly explosion at a military-sponsored charity event, the team must investigate her claims and search for the attacker, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES. Tiffany Dupont (“Greek”) guest stars as ZNN Reporter Dana Steele and Tony Okungbowa (Guest DJ on “Ellen”) guest stars as Bakri Deng.

NCIS Personnel Highlights and Bull Pen Fun
Weekend Work under Emergency
Called back to work on a Saturday, it doesn’t look a regular work-day. Everyone is in their casuals. By everyone, I mean, Deeks, Hetty and Granger. Deeks is in his beach shorts. Granger and Hetty are not in formals but are dressed casually. Rest of the three Agents and Ops operatives Neric are dressed as usual.
Ops Manager/s
OPs Manager Hetty Lange
Asst Director Owen Granger
I just don’t get it how writers write something so smoothly that we cannot remember it as nothing is remarkable and yet it does not hurt us in any ways. I liked Joey Wilson and JLJ’s work in this episode. Hetty and Granger talk, which btw I mean to say, “Granger Proposes and Hetty Disposes.” and yet it does not look any bad or serious.
Partnership 1-
G Callen & Sam Hanna
Saviours of Los Angeles. What will the city do without these two agents, always defusing bombs and backing each other. Sam - the family man. Callen - becoming a team lead. Feels responsible enough to advise the younger team members (like Hetty said to them), “Get back in one piece”. Ofcourse it sounds wierd and Sam covers it up saying, it sounded better when Hetty said it.
Partnership -2
Marty Deeks - LAPD Liaison Officer
Kensi Blye -Special Agent
Just Partners. No other messing around. But also Deeks teasing Kensi about hoarding, boxes and killing plants was not required, but then Densi would have become a bore to watch. They did not get much to do except digging info, which was kinda boring even for them. Personally I liked to see Deeks in beach shorts. Don’t know why Kensi rolled her eyes.
Ops Room Partnership
Eric Beale- Tech Operator
Nell Jones - Intelligence Analyst
Neric is back. Neric is cute. Neric are agile. This couple was the best in this episode. It was cute of them exchanging personal notes to each other, then deny all about it to Granger and finally leaves notes at the other 3+1 Field Agents tables. Its still a secret what Nell and Eric wrote to each other. They are never going to talk about it. But they were full of smiles.

In crew's terms this is known as 522-119
The Production Crew has different numbers than what later became the air sequence. Season 4 Production Schedule had an extra episode shot which was telecasted as Unwritten Rule 5x05-101 in airing reality. This changed the sequence numbers for all the season 5 episodes either in terms of Season Episode number or actual episode number for show's grand total serial number. Exposure realistically becomes 523-119 for Viewers.
