Episode
6x10 - Reign Fall
Ode to Fallen soldiers?!
Reignfall is the third extended play by American rapper Chamillionaire released in promotion of his third studio album, Poison.
Writer
Joseph C Wilson
With CIA Torture Report going public (on 9th December 2014 , with NSA surveillance coming under scanner (last year), seems NCIS OSP is handling less and less of international scale terrorism elements. Reflects on Obama administrative and guiding policies. Instead NCIS is taking care of Domestic terrorism elements working against its national interests. CIA Subjects or Marine Lives or Military Academies are things to be taken care of as elements of National Interest when threatened of its existence.  And that is what in this episode story Joseph C Wilson weaves a drama around a serial killer who is killing Strict Military fathers using IED explosives, something the killer learned through his being in the army.

Backstopping changes:
Sam Hanna’s background is being changed. In Season 1 Legend Episode, Sam was coming from tough neighbourhood. Now in this episode, he comes from Military background. His father is a Colonel and Sam had been in a Military Academy. Also he was not as grumpy as he is increasingly growing into with Callen’s teases. However unlike Sam’s strictly disciplinary father, Sam is very soft with his daughters. He can do anything for them.

A bit of Deeks background is added too. He has a Celebrity Basket Ball player for his best friend, A friendship where Deeks may have pushed his friend to go for Basket Ball. His friends’s name is Kip Brigham.
Director
Christine Moore
Its her second Episode after Tuhon.

Episode Summary
Granger has been asked of a favor from his CIA friends. Who is behind the blast in one of their Agents House?
A non-NCIS LA OSP calibre episode. It should be more of an LAPD Case.
Its more of revelations about Sam Hanna and Deeks and a bit of Callen, where Callen expressed he would have appreciated even a strict father like Sam’s, who would be there to push his son, for Callen had none to push him or care for him with multiple foster care families.
NCIS Personnel Highlights / OSP fun
-
-
Ops Manager/s
OPs Manager Hetty Lange
Asst Director Owen Granger
Granger is absent. Though it is because of him why the team is working on the case.
Hetty is there for few seconds and we can forget that she was there.
Partnership 1-
G Callen & Sam Hanna
Read above, the Author’s section and Episode Summary.
The Episode ends with Sam understanding his father’s care behind his strict persona.
Callen helps Sam understand his luck in having a parent who cares for him enough to make his son run fifty miles in snow after a rainy day to make good on time lost on following a strict regime and keep following him in a truck to oversee him accomplish the feat. While working on the case, Callen feels for the sons who got left behind without care of a parent, a father, when their fathers got murdered. He feels the care even if that care may have been overbearing or oppressive to their sons.
Partnership -2
Marty Deeks - LAPD Liaison Officer
Kensi Blye -Special Agent
Read above, the Author’s section
So Deeks has celebrity Basket Ball players as his best friends. All from street though like his dog Monty and Roy in Season 2 Plan B. His friends sure do take a lot of interest in pairing up Kensi and Deeks. Just like Roy, even Kip Brigham winks to Deeks about Kensi.
Ops Room  Partnership
Eric Beale- Tech Operator
Nell Jones - Intelligence Analyst
Nothing at all.
But did Nell just kiss Eric (on his cheek though, in jubilation at her find!)?
Guest Characters
Miscellaneous - But all impressive
Yes all impressive. Only one who could get repetitive is Kirk Birgham, if the writers wished to bring him back.

================================================================================================================

Loved the Episode. Loved Loved it. An entertaining and hilarious episode. I had feast watching the four couples. Neric (Eric+Nell) top the list. Followed by all the three couples equally. Scallen, Densi and Hanger.

As for the story. Who is the mole? running through Season 6 has been caught. But we don't know yet who he has been working for? So its now, "Who was the mole working for?"

Episode
6x09 - The Traitor
There is a Mole in NCIS Los Angeles Office of Special Projects. His name is Brown. He is caught. Question is: Who has hired Brown? Who is looking into NCIS LA OSP subjects with Hetty’s life made public over there on Darknet and now with Granger poisoned. Who would have wanted to poison Asst Director Owen Granger?
Writer
Michael Udesky
R S Gemmill
I loved the blend of action and the various kind of wits thrown into the episode. The nervous wits, the calm wits, the banter wits….every kind. It was simply lovely to watch all the characters and the whole episode inclusive of the regular and guest character cast. Simply lovely writing. And it had also the undercurrent theme of reminding the past of the characters and also the past NCIS LA seasons for the viewers. Season 6 indeed is majorly about establishing the Middle. The beginning of the Middle, usually is body-building in the same direction. It has to be fed more, of the same kind.
Director
Eric Pot
This is Eric’s Third Direction for NCIS LA. Though we can always see him as Assistant Director for every other episode. I like his episodes. He understands the characters so well and delivers the story in right manner. I like it. Let me remind you all. He has so far directed 4x21-Resurrection. 5x20-WindFall and now this season’s 6x09-The Traitor. He has directed for writers who have created most of the backstopping for NCIS LA characters personal stories and interdynamics between the characters. Gil Grant, Dave Kalstein and R S Gemmill.
Editor
Robert Florio ACE
When Robert Florio teams up with Gemmill’s story, the output is like this. Simply Fun. Remember episodes like Raven and Swans. Witty Episodes full of non-stop banter.
Episode Summary
Granger is poisoned and he meets with an accident.
Investigation leads NCISLA OSP integrity breached with the presence of a Mole amongst them. The rest of the episode is about catching the mole. WATCH to enjoy.
NCIS Personnel Highlights / OSP fun
Well ! its all about the friends and friend-couples.
Where do I start? and Whom do I start with ? I think I will just go with those where I burst out laughing uncontrollably. I may not be even doing any justice with just mentioning it without any context. Dammit like Deeks says when he is caged in.
But that’s not the most fun part at all. Fun is when Callen says “Okay that’s our cue”.  Fun is when Deeks says, “Its happening.”
And its absolutely adorable when Eric tells Nell, “He broke my glasses.”; and Nell just takes off his glasses and says, “You look good without glasses.”
So did you get a cue about what and why Callen and Deeks say so ?!!!
Ops Manager/s
OPs Manager Hetty Lange
Asst Director Owen Granger
Oh My My!! I get to see that Granger has an office and a Secretary. Her name is Lisa Manning.
Wasn’t I writing with my Season 5 ending notes that Granger and Hetty are battling it out as to who gets to keep the chair. So finally they heard my curiosity. Both Granger and Hetty live together, one in closed office with a personal secretary and Hetty continuing as usual.
Anyways. Back to story. How was Granger poisoned. Through a flower that is toxic enough when touched over increasing period. While Granger meets with an accident, Grangers assistant calls in home-sick, but she is too is in no good shape. Callen and Sam have to take her to hospital, otherwise she could have died.
This does get clarified by Sam, as to why Granger was so stressed out and irritated most of the time at work. It was due to the effects of intoxication with that Monkhood flower poison Aconitum. The flower is also called Wolf’s bane. With that poison affecting Granger, he has to be put under restraint in hospital; because of his altered state and head injury caused by the accident.
The ending scene was funny as Granger wakes up to see Hetty sitting besides him. How they talk is always funny.
Granger: Don't think this will make up for the time you tried to kill me.
Hetty: I would not think of it.

So Granger calls the IT guys as Cyber Punks.
Partnership 1-
G Callen & Sam Hanna
Sam and Callen investigate from outside from inputs provided by Nell and Kensi from the inside happenings. They can’t come when Hetty locks down the site to catch the mole. But its teamwork as usual. They save Eric in nick of the time from Brown’s clutches and also arrest Brown. The 6 minutes, 4 minutes negotiation to 5 minutes was of course the routine must have scene between Sam and Callen. However, what I loved most was, the way Callen is befuddled about Brown’s wide grin at being arrested. Even I was wondering what is that makes him so happy at being caught. And Sam has an answer. “Bunk Beds maybe”. HILARIOUS!!!!

Oh! Not to forget. Brown has a dialogue saying he created a perfect legend as to how to be the mole. And that too he is retorting to Callen. Ahem!! the real agenda is that Gemmill is reminding us that Callen used to be the legend of being an undercover Agent.

Btw Sam remarks to Callen that Granger lives like a Monk and he further teases Callen saying “the two of you can live together”
Partnership -2
Marty Deeks - LAPD Liaison Officer
Kensi Blye -Special Agent
Densi banter is there for a large part of their scenes but everything of that is like a snapshot of what they were and now are. Repetitive. Only New things being mention of toilet seat. [Again!!. Last time the toilet seat was becoming part of banter in 5x24-Deep Trouble Part1] To continue...Girly magazines on toilet seat. And Deeks smelling hair. And Deeks is not afraid to smell Kensi’s hair or say that he loves the fact of being the only one to know what kind of magazines does Kensi read.
To me what that means is a growth definitely but flat. Cause its slow. Its repetitive, that can be impressed to us as reiterative with verbal dialogues that speak of the relationship status, which is a mix of flirtation, friendship and partnership that has an acknowledgement of having said what they meant. No beating around the bush. This sort of settled status is coming out of Gemmill and Military’s stories (SEAL Hunter).

Oh! btw. Forget Densi. And just watch Deeks for the way he sits and mulls on Helen Trapper’s suicide. He uses his detective skills and along with Kensi establish that she was strangled to death by someone else. They become the reason for fishing out the mole as they collect the DNA.
Ops Room  Partnership
Eric Beale- Tech Operator
Nell Jones - Intelligence Analyst
Well ! now comes my favourite part of the Episode. Eric and Neric. Oh! I could keep watching the episode just to watch Eric’s scenes throughout the Episode.

Eric and Team
Eric and Nell in Ops room
Eric and Hetty
Eric and Nell again downstairs (when she slaps him to snap him out of his panic)
Eric and Kensi and Deeks
Eric taken hostage by Brown
Eric in BoatShed, with team and with Nell.

OMG. Where does I not get impressed. Barrett Foa is just awesome as Eric Beale.

So what I liked was how Eric couldn’t see Hetty having her 6th tea without saying a word. He thinks that Hetty must have been greatly affected. We get a very sweet scene between Hetty and Eric. I mean Hetty is not admonishing, but is being very soft with him. Look at her professional and personal answers to Eric in the same moment.
Mr.Beale, Keep your eyes open and wits about you today.” “And Eric Thank you.”

The way Area51 jokes are thrown in for Eric reminds me of Gemmill’s other episode 4x17-Wanted where Deeks is asking CIA Agent Snyder. Well Area51 Mention means “Geek Stuff” in Gemmill’s NCISLA World.

Well Eric as guided and aided by Nell does become a Smart Boy and manipulates Brown to go into Basement Storage Area, when opportunity comes. He uses the Ops room code word “Old Building” and saves the day for himself and everyone.

Neric is happening. As Nell lovingly walks towards Eric to see how he is doing, going by Eric's looks, Callen says,"That's our cue." Deeks says,"Its happening." OMG!!! I still cannot stop laughing as I remember that ending scene. Eric saying, "I can't smell. He broke my glasses" Such a baby. And Nell comfortingly saying, "You look good without glasses" Anyways Eric's password is out. Its 2014Eric+Nell
